Overview

Relying on a factory's own quality control team often fails due to high pressure to ship on time, meaning major defects are overlooked to hit targets. You end up paying for defective goods upfront and then face massive, $46-per-item return chargebacks when those garments hit retail shelves. Having an independent expert physically on the ground safeguards your production run and stops bad inventory before shipment.

What it includes
  • Pre-Production Inspection (IPC)

Check raw materials and fabric bolts before the cutting even begins.

  • During Production Inspection (DUPRO)

Identify sewing defects and size deviations at 20% completion of goods so you can fix issues right on the line.

  • Pre-Shipment Inspection (PSI)

The final AQL inspection verifies workmanship, packing, and labeling before the goods are released to the freight forwarder.

  • Garment Quality Sorting

Full piece-by-piece inspection sorts the good units from the bad ones when a factory fails a bulk apparel QC check.

  • Container Loading Supervision

Make sure approved garments are packed safely and loaded into clean, dry containers.

What QA teams say after switching to enforced QA.

Factories used to claim they never got the updated spec. Now every change needs a digital signature with a timestamp. Disputes about what version was in production dropped to zero in our first season.

Head of Quality · European Fashion Brand

The COPQ reports were transformative. We could finally show clients in dollar terms how much our inspection programme saved them per season. We renewed three contracts off that data alone.

We went live in 11 days. Our auditors work in basements with zero WiFi — the offline app captures everything and syncs later. Factories were trained in an afternoon.

QC Manager · Sourcing Agency, Istanbul

Three shipments were held at customs in two years over cert lapses nobody caught. Automatic expiry tracking with PO locks solved it permanently — 18 months without a single lapse.

Brands used to complain they had no visibility between PO and shipment. Now they log in and see exactly what stage every order is at, in real time. It transformed those relationships.

We cut our pre-shipment failure rate from 18% to under 5% in one season by adding DUPRO at 20% production. The extra visits cost less than a single chargeback we avoided in month one.

FAQ

Apparel Inspection Services

We fully adhere to the internationally recognized ISO 2859-1 standard. You can set custom tolerance levels based on your brand requirements, though most apparel brands usually default to AQL 2.5 for major defects and 4.0 for minor ones.

In most major textile manufacturing hubs such as Bangladesh or India, we can send a certified inspector to the factory within 48 hours after your booking confirmation. Sometimes we can have someone there the next morning if timing matches.

You get the report immediately showing the exact defect numbers. From there, you can reject the shipment, ask the factory to rework the goods, or book our bulk apparel QC inspection team for 100% defect sorting to salvage the clean units.
